About Linda

Linda Haugh, from Dublin, Ireland, has been gracing Calgary’s Celtic scene for the past 13 years, fronting such bands as Children of Lir, Floating Widgets, and Third Reel. Traditional Celtic Music is the mastery of a host of talents from melodies that evoke emotion, words that send you back to the old country, and powerful vocals edged with a soft lilt. This is what Linda brings to her performances. She says "playing Celtic music gives me a little bit of Ireland here in Canada ." Linda assembles her stage with some of Calgary’s finest session musicians, a lineup that is constantly changing. Each show delivers something different from the night before, and sends you home humming until the wee hours.
